Gefion Group is founded
I 2013, the property development company Gefion Group was founded with the aim of transforming well-located properties into modern and contemporary homes.
In the first six years, Gefion Group converted and constructed 13 small and medium-sized properties in highly attractive locations in the Copenhagen area. The properties were typically converted into modern homes. The homes were sold through project sales, and the remaining properties were sold to investors.

The first student dormitory construction
Gefion Groups first student dormitory construction is built on Ib Schønbergs Allé in Valby. A unique location both in terms of public transportation and proximity to educational institutions in Copenhagen. Ib Schønbergs Allé has been sold to an institutional investor.

Dormitory in historic office building
In a former office building belonging to Skandinavisk Tobakskompagni, Gefion Group has constructed a dormitory with 175 student accommodations. The accommodations are highly unique as the original large windows and high ceiling height have been preserved. The dormitory has been sold to private investors.

Gefion is selling a beautifully renovated mansion
In the absolute center of Copenhagen, Gefion Group acquired the mansion properties at Niels Juels Gade 9-11. After a thorough renovation, Gefion Group sold the highly attractive properties to the company 3Shape, which had meanwhile leased the premises.

Another dormitory is being sold fully leased
The shortage of student housing continues, and therefore Gefion Group chose to construct another dormitory in the trendy Northwest district of Copenhagen, close to Fuglebakken Station and most educational institutions in Copenhagen. Fuglebakkekollegiet is a modern dormitory with multiple common facilities, rooftop terraces, and recreational areas in the surrounding green spaces. Fuglebakkekollegiet has been sold to private investors.

Empty property on Østerbro is converted into 143 modern youth residences
Close to Ryparken Station, Gefion Group has converted a property into 143 youth residences and 13 hotel apartments. Additionally, two large rooftop terraces with stunning views have been established. Gefion Group has sold the property to private investors.

Gefion Group is constructing 284 residences on Amager Strandvej
Along Amager Strandvej, Gefion Group has developed and constructed a large residential area with 8 residential buildings and renovated a larger commercial property into commercial spaces and a privately-owned daycare center. The area is highly attractive due to its proximity to Amager Strandpark and Øresund metro station. All properties have been sold to private investors and foreign institutional investors.

Gefion Group sells 262 student accommodations to a German fund
The largest student accommodation developed by Gefion Group is located on Telegrafvej in Ballerup. A former commercial property, built by Bøje Nielsen, has been transformed into 262 student accommodations with common areas and indoor and outdoor sports facilities. The residence stands out for its diverse range of students, representing over 50 different fields of study. Gefion has sold the property to a German fund.

From police station to 72 beautiful studios with balconies
A remarkable transformation of a property can be found at Store Kongensgade 100. Gefion Group has converted the former police station into 72 studios with balconies and created a courtyard with shared wooden terraces. As part of the renovation, the building's facades have received an impressive architectural upgrade, and the new copper-colored cladding blends harmoniously in with the surrounding townhouses. The property has been sold to an institutional investor.

In this stunning townhouse, Gefion Group has constructed 13 modern residences with balconies and rooftop terraces. It was in this property that Jean Desiré Beauvais relocated his canned food production in 1865.

Gefion Group expands its ownership circle
For the first time since Gefion Group's establishment in 2013, the ownership circle is now expanding with 5 new partners. The new partners are COO Carsten Lygum, CFO Jens Rytter, Chief Legal Officer Jacob Kruse Rasmussen, Technical Director Martin Schjørring, and Senior Project Development Manager Bjørn Opstrup Laursen. The expansion of Gefion Group's partner group is a natural progression of the company, and the five new partners will contribute to the continued growth that Gefion Group will achieve through attractive development projects.
Gefion Group enters its largest property transaction to date
With the sale of 653 student and youth accommodations at Engvej, located right next to Femøren Metro Station, Gefion Group enters its largest property transaction to date. The buyer is the Swedish publicly listed property company, Studentbostäder i Sverige AB.
The property was previously SAS' data center from 1966, which Gefion Group has transformed into modern student and youth accommodations with spacious shared rooftop terraces. There are a total of 5 buildings connected by an architecturally impressive "Gold Bar". Additionally, the complex features a fitness center, a café, a supermarket, and a private kindergarten.

Gefion Group sells another property to Europa Capital
Europa Capital, which has previously purchased several properties from Gefion Group on Amager Strandvej, acquires another property from Gefion Group. This time, it is Kanalgaden 3, which was formerly an office building but has been converted by Gefion Group into a senior co-housing community based on the latest knowledge in senior housing and communal living.
Gefion Group reports record profits
The annual report shows the best-ever result in Gefion Group's history, with a record pre-tax profit of 210 million DKK and equity of 65 million DKK, providing a strong financial foundation for upcoming projects in the coming years.
